Mehanna’s responsibilities include implementing process improvement initiatives and working closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide patient care solutions, drive program growth, and deliver a consistently outstanding patient experience.

An executive leader with extensive experience in the healthcare industry, Abir has established a well-earned reputation as a transformational leader with a rare combination of leadership skills, strategic vision, and the kind of passion and compassion that make her a strong patient advocate who is committed to ensuring that patients and families receive outstanding care and support. It’s a personal and professional profile that makes her an outstanding fit for Corazon’s goal of improving access to imaging services and serving rural and underserved areas of Michigan.

Prior to joining Corazon in October 2022, Abir was the CEO of Vibra LTACH Healthcare System, overseeing hospital operations in two locations to ensure quality outcomes, financial health, staffing stability, and board participation in critical care hospital strategy initiatives. She has also served in a variety of leadership roles during her 12+ years with Beaumont Health, most recently as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Beaumont Hospital, Wayne, where she served and directed the $4.2 million expansion of the Beaumont, Wayne Breast Care Center in 2019.

Abir is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE). She earned her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
