Dr. Rumberger leverages his specialized expertise to elevate Corazon’s expansive cardiac imaging capabilities and improve patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Corazon Imaging, Dr. Rumberger spent nearly two decades as a Professor of Medicine, first with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and then at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
With nearly 40 years of experience practicing cardiology, Dr. Rumberger is a recognized authority on the use of Cardiac CT and CT physics and in developing practice guidelines for its interpretation in patients, Dr. Rumberger’s training in both engineering and medicine has provided him with unique perspectives into a complex medical specialty where he has established himself as one of the preeminent experts in the field. He has published over 300 scientific papers, 350 abstracts, 35 book chapters, numerous invited editorials, and two books dealing with the development and application of cardiac CT. He remains active in clinical practice, epidemiological research, Preventive Cardiology/Medicine, and teaching cardiologists and radiologists methods to interpret Cardiac CT in clinical practice.
Dr. Rumberger received his MD from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Ohio State University, and matriculated from the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship Program at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
